About us
The SON group explores and develops new quantum materials and physics using advanced two-dimensional materials (2D materials). The group’s particular speciality is quantum and nano-devices for applications to quantum information. Applying tools of advanced lithographic processing to a wide range of materials, we can design and build flying qubit circuits with excellent quantum coherence.
Our group focuses on hybrid quantum systems and interfaces connecting two different qubit systems. We are developing means to integrate different quantum systems to provide new functionality in the quantum domain. This is part of the field of mesoscopic physics or nanoelectronics, and the quantum techniques that the group has developed have been adopted by many other groups worldwide.
