International Workshop on Hybrid Quantum Systems and Interfaces

Period: March 8-11 (Wed-Sat) 2023
Venue: Planet Hollywood Hotel, Las Vegas USA
Overview:
Advances in quantum information technology over the last decades have led to remarkable control of individual quantum systems. However, practical future quantum devices may rely on more than one type of physical systems to harness and maximize functionality and capability of each system. Furthermore, such complementary hybrid architectures require universal bus interface for the communication and networking purpose. The goal of this workshop is to bring together leading experts on diverse sets of quantum systems and to learn about recent efforts and progress to realize hybrid quantum systems and interfaces.

Organizers:
Junho Suh (Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science, KRISS)
Seok-Kyun Son (Kyung Hee University)
Nojoon Myoung (Chosun University)
Hee Chul Park (Institute for Basic Science, PCS-IBS)
Donghun Lee (Korea University)

Mini-Workshop on Quantum and Nano Devices 2022 :
Hybrid quantum systems and interfaces

Period: July 7-8 (THU-FRI), 2022
Venue: Online/Offline hybrid
Overview:
Advances in quantum information technology over the last decades have led to remarkable control of individual quantum systems. However, practical future quantum devices will rely on more than one type of physical system to harness and maximize the functionality and capability of each system. Transferring information between distant and disparate quantum systems remains an outstanding challenge and requires new types of quantum interfaces. To understand hybrid quantum systems, we need to explore the various quantum systems. The mini workshop will provide two sessions related to quantum systems based on 2D materials and qubits, and we will promote research collaboration and network within the community.

Organizers:
Dong Hun Lee (Korea Univ.), Taegeun Song (Kongju Nat. Univ.)
